Flat or House? Period or New?
Not an easy decision, especially when you first start looking but by spending some time thinking about what you like and don’t like at the beginning, you can give yourself a useful criteria with which to judge properties when you start viewing. To make things a little easier we’ve created a little questionnaire. This not only helps you think about what you want, it helps us focus on what to show you. Our first piece of advice though? Don’t limit yourself too much from the beginning; sometimes something you thought would never suit you turns out to be your dream house. With any property search it’s best to start wide and narrow over time. Of course, we’re limited to what property we have for sale at any given time and your timescales but we’ve found going through this process at the beginning can be a short cut to your perfect home.

Whatever the economic climate, you’re always in a better position to secure your new home if you have the necessary finance in place. It’s an expensive business and we always recommend to our clients that they start the search with a good understanding of what they can afford; it narrows the potential for disappointment and added stress further down the line.
We’ve linked up with Mortgage Consultants we know and trust so we can give our clients access to someone who can help them understand what’s on offer if they need it.

An easy way to manage those stress levels is knowing exactly what to do and when. Understanding the various stages of the buying process can be complicated. We’re on hand to talk you through everything you need to know: from ‘contract law’ to ‘conveyancing’ and ‘searches’ to ‘subject to contract’. We will make sure you’re comfortable with what’s happening and what is needed from you at every stage
